茶艺的介绍（Introduction of Tea Ceremony）

        茶艺是一种文化。“茶艺”一词在唐朝之后才出现，这个词从何而来，众说纷纭。
        自唐朝以来，茶艺已经走进寻常百姓家。到了宋代，茶已经成为了生活必需品，而茶艺成为了一种广为流传的时尚，故此有了一套特有的规范动作。明代后期，饮茶变得越来越讲究，人们所选的茶叶、水、环境都有了较高的标准，例如茶叶一定要精致干燥、水源一定要干净、环境一定要雅致等。茶艺包括：选茗、择水、烹茶技术、茶具艺术、环境的选择创造等一系列内容。之后，茶艺在中国优秀文化的基础上又广泛吸收和借鉴了其它艺术形式，并扩展到文学、艺术等领域，形成了具有浓厚民族特色的中国茶文化。
        Tea ceremony is a culture. The word appeared after the Tang Dynasty. However, there are different opinions about the provenance of the word and nobody can prove it accurately until now.
      From the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, tea ceremonies have entered the homes of ordinary people. In the Song Dynasty, tea ceremony  has become the daily necessities of citizens. In the late Ming Dynasty, tea drinking culture was appreciated therefore the standardized actions which must be fulfilled by us became more. For example, the selected tea leaves must be in fully dried condition, clear and pure water should be used, drinking tea in a conducive  environment. The contents of the tea ceremony include tea selection, water selection, tea cooking technique, tea set art, and environment selection and creation. Tea ceremony widely absorbed and referred to the other art forms on the basis of Chinese excellent culture, and yet expanded to literature, art and the other fields.

鉴赏与心得（Art Appraiser and Reflection）

        选择茶艺来进行表演类别，是因为一年前参与了卫塞节的义工而接触了茶艺，并有幸从学长那里学习了些茶艺的基础知识，自此开始对茶艺提起了兴趣。茶艺中的泡茶过程对于茶具、茶叶、水温、茶叶的浸泡时长有一定的要求。普遍上，“盖碗”较适合用来泡茶，因为它适用于所有茶类的泡茶流程，但是我这次选择了紫砂壶来作为泡茶工具，一来是表演之时盖碗不在身边、二来是动作不够娴熟，手容易被杯身烫伤。

        茶艺能够让心从原来的浮躁转化为平静。茶艺不只是单纯的泡茶、品茶，"酒满敬人，茶满欺人。"倒茶七分满是茶艺的基本常识，同时也寓意了我们做人要学会保留和谦虚，无论何事都保留一份接纳他人对自己批评和建议的空间，才会让我们时刻拥有一颗包容的心，也能让人感受到我们平和、和善的态度。在如今社会脚步的繁忙之中，找个时间安静的坐下来、泡一壶茶，品尝茶的苦中带甜，之后再转回甘的滋味。精神紧绷的一整天，在茶香的围绕下能够得以放松。

        I chose the tea ceremony for my presentation because I gained experience when I was a volunteer for the Vesak Festival last year. The brewing of tea in tea art has certain requirements for tea sets, tea leaves, water temperature, and tea steeping time. Generally, "Gai Wan"（ Chinese tea tureen ）is more suitable for tea brewing because it suits every kind of tea in the process of drawing tea. However, this time I chose a “Zi Sha Hu”（purple clay pot ）as my tea brewing tool. As my “Gai Wan” was not with me during presentation time and I was not skillful enough to use it as the tureen is boiling hot.

        Tea ceremony can transform one’s mind from impetuousness into a calm condition. For the ancient people, “Wine is full of respect while tea is full of deception." Pouring tea up until seven points full is the basic rule of tea ceremony. It also implies that we must learn to be reserved and humble in leading a life. Tea ceremony trained us to have a tolerant heart to accept criticisms and suggestions from others. In the hustle and bustle of society, we should really take our time to sit quietly, make a pot of tea, taste the bitterness and sweetness of tea. I felt relaxed when my environment was surrounded by the fragrance of tea after the hectic schedule for a whole day.
